How Does CBD Work?

efore you learn how CBD works, its good to learn what cbd is first.

Researchers discovered while studying effects of THC, that there was an innate natural endocannabinoid system inside every human being on planet earth. It is something we are all born with. Oh and by the way, practically every living thing on the planet has one too. This endocannabinoid system has millions of receptors that interacts with chemical systems that are connected to central nervous system, as well as other systems including, but not limited to immunity, mood, pain, and sleep.

Like most systems in the human body it is always happiest in homeostasis. So with the human body always looking to survive at its worst of times, but homeostasis/balance at its best of times. The body will release cannabinoids to reach that equilibrium state, but often it can underperform. This is why people are finding benefits with CBD. People are supplementing CBD where and when they find their body is under performing in outputting cannabinoids. In fact, it is when the endocannabinoid system is dysfunctional it can lead to severe imbalance in several bodily processes. This sounds vague, but this is why there so many people utilizing CBD products to bridge that gap.

So What are the CBD products People Are Supplementing With?

CBD extracted from Hemp in its truest most natural form does not taste good. This is actually one of the reasons we developed our CBD mints. That said, lets discuss the few CBD extracts that companies are using to make their CBD Products and help you get best knowledge of what to choose to help with supplementation.

Raw CBD Hemp Flower

– The most natural pure form of CBD consumption possible.
Thing to be aware of:

  • Ways of consumption: Smoke it, Soak it, Cook it, Vape it

Full Spectrum

– This is second most pure form of consumption of CBD possible. Full spectrum means the full cannabinoid profile is present from the extracted hemp.
Things to be aware of:

  • The Entourage Effect is in Full Spectrum CBD as the Full Cannabinoid profile is available and Terpenes are not stripped from the extracted CBD.

Broad Spectrum

– This is the third most pure form of CBD possible. Broad means less than full cannabinoid profile, but the THC is remediated from it. Often the CBD content will be lower and the terpenes removed from Broad Spectrum unless they readd terpenes back into the product. Often if you see companies saying they have a NO THC product whether its NO THC (zero THC) CBD Oil or ND THC (Non Detected THC) this always is a Broad Spectrum or CBD Isolate product.

Isolate

– A purified form of CBD formed into a powder. Some companies claim its the most pure form of CBD and it’s true that it is pure CBD; 99% usually. However, the CBD profile is massively striped down through the process to get that isolated powder that you are getting a small amount of the cannabinoid profile. Isolate still can be beneficial, but is it AS BENEFICIAL as Full Spectrum? Most people do not think so and believe that Full Spectrum provides maximum beneficial effects.
